Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This milling machine features JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator convenience, and an innovative machine base design for easier leveling. It includes an automatic oiler releasing 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals, a heavy-duty spindle brake for safety, and a relocated electrical box housing two 115V outlets for powered accessories. The milling machine is CSA/CUS certified and features Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications. The spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of bearings, belts, and the motor, while the table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy. The X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movements, and it includes a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of ACU-RITE 200S, two axes, powerfeed for X and Y-axis, a pneumatic power draw bar, an R-8 spindle taper, and a table size of 10 x 50 inches. The quill diameter measures 3-3/8 inches, with variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM. The machine is backed by an industry-leading two-year warranty.
