Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230, 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. JET mills are backed by a two-year warranty. Features include a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box housing an E-stop for operator convenience, an innovative machine base design for easy leveling, and an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals. Safety is enhanced with a heavy-duty spindle brake that stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The relocated electrical box at the back houses two 115V outlets for powered accessories, and the machine is CSA/CUS certified. Class 7 spindle bearings support the spindle for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting applications, while an internally cooled spindle head extends the life of bearings, belts, and motors. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for accuracy, and the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B for reduced vibration and smooth movement. Additional features include a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all movable surfaces, way covers, a drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout of Acu-Rite 300S, powerfeed for X, Y, and Z-axis, a pneumatic power drawbar, spindle taper of R-8, table size dimensions of 10 x 50 inches, a quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and quill down feed rates.
