Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, the JTM-1050EVS2/230 10" x 50" electronic variable speed milling machine provides consistent and reliable operation. The newly designed column and base incorporates a rigid, robust design that is easily leveled without lifting the machine. This milling machine features a JET designed certified Meehanite® casting with enhanced ribbing for improved rigidity and tolerance retention, a swing away control box with an E-stop for operator safety, and an automatic oiler that releases 3 to 6 cc/cy of lubrication at adjustable intervals. Additional safety measures include a heavy-duty spindle brake that stops the spindle and interrupts power to prevent accidental start-ups. The electrical box is relocated to the back of the mill and includes two 115V outlets for powered accessories. It is CSA/CUS certified and equipped with Class 7 spindle bearings for maximum rigidity during heavy cutting. The spindle head is internally cooled to extend the life of bearings, belts, and the motor. The table and ways are hardened up to 54 HRC and precision ground for greater accuracy, while the X and Y-axis are coated with Turcite-B to reduce vibration and ensure smooth movements. The machine also includes a swing away safety shield, LED work lamp, chip pan, dual locks on all moveable surfaces, way covers, drawbar, and a toolbox with tools. Specifications include a digital readout (ACU-RITE 200S), two axes, power feed on the X, Y, and Z-axis, pneumatic power draw bar, spindle taper of R-8, table size of 10 x 50 inches, quill diameter of 3-3/8 inches, variable spindle speeds ranging from 60 to 4,500 RPM, and a total of variable spindle speeds.
