The HM485 commercial battery box is a robust battery storage solution designed specifically for dual group 8D batteries, suitable for marine, RV, and commercial applications. The unit features a four-corner fastening system and a captive lid that facilitates straightforward installations, complemented by large cable entry holes accommodating heavy gauge wires up to 4/0 AWG. It includes a large internal reservoir for collecting battery acid and boasts full flow ventilation to safely release battery gases. Constructed from rugged, rotationally molded material, the battery box is built to withstand extreme conditions and protect against UV rays, oil, gas, and other contaminants. It meets the Coast Guard (USCG) Code of Federal Regulations 183.420 and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) E-10.7 standards.
