The Power Drill I-100 auger bits feature a solid center design that provides extra rigidity while boring, with wide lands that keep the bit straight through the hole. The flutes are ground behind the lands to funnel chips inside the bit and away from the outside diameter, resulting in a faster, cleaner cut. A single-spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother finish, while the coarse screw point allows for fast boring in both hard and soft woods. Each bit includes a 4-1/2" twist length and a 7-1/2" overall length. The full-length heat-treated bit guards against bending during heavy-duty applications and strengthens the twist at the point of greatest strain. Additionally, these auger bits are capable of nail cutting.
