The Power Drill I-100 auger bits feature a solid center design that provides extra rigidity during boring, with wide lands to keep the bit straight as it bores through the hole. The flutes are ground behind the lands to funnel chips to the inside of the bit and away from the outside diameter, resulting in a faster, cleaner cut. A single-spur cutting edge scribes the circumference of the hole for a smoother finish, while the coarse screw point enables fast boring in both hard and soft woods. Each bit has a 4-1/2" twist length and a 7-1/2" overall length. The bits are full-length heat treated to guard against bending in heavy-duty applications and to strengthen the twist where the greatest strain occurs.
