This package includes 4 lbs of medium abrasive material with a grit size of 60/100 and a particle size of 0.015 inches, rated between 5.0 and 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. The abrasive is ideal for achieving a smoother, brighter, or matte finish and is typically utilized in a blast cabinet or environments where the abrasive is recycled. It is particularly effective for light cleaning, surface rust removal, corrosion treatment, and de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be applied for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used, with a larger nozzle size requiring more cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air.
