This kit includes 4 lbs of medium abrasive material with a grit size of 20/60 and a particle size of 0.033 inches, with a hardness of 5.0-6.5 on the Mohs scale. It is designed for applications where a smoother, brighter, or matte finish is desired, and is typically utilized in a blast cabinet or in scenarios where the abrasive is being recycled. This abrasive is an excellent choice for light cleaning, removing surface rust, corrosion, and de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be used for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive used; larger nozzle sizes will require more CFM of air.
