The kit includes 10 lbs of medium abrasive material with a grit size of 20/30 and a particle size of 0.032 inches, rated at 3.5 on the Mohs scale. This abrasive effectively removes light surface rust or corrosion without etching the surface, making it an excellent choice for cleaning, stripping, and de-burring soft metals while minimizing surface heat generation. It is typically used in a blast cabinet or in applications where the abrasive is being recycled, producing very little dust and enhancing visibility in the cabinet. For optimal performance, it is recommended that the size of the blaster nozzle be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being utilized; it is important to note that a larger nozzle size will necessitate a higher cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air.
