The kit includes 25 lbs of medium abrasive with a grit size of 20/30, measuring 0.032" in particle size and rated at 3.5 Mohs hardness. This abrasive is designed to effectively remove light surface rust or corrosion without etching the underlying surface, making it an excellent choice for cleaning, stripping, and de-burring soft metals while minimizing surface heat generation. It is typically used in a blast cabinet or situations where the abrasive can be recycled, producing very little dust, which enhances visibility during the blasting process. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used; using a larger nozzle size will require a higher CFM of air for optimal performance.
