The kit includes 25 lbs of medium abrasive with a grit size of 60/100, measuring 0.015 inches in diameter, and has a hardness of 5.0-6.5 on the Mohs scale. This product is utilized when a smoother, brighter, or matte finish is desired and is typically used in a blast cabinet or in situations where the abrasive is being recycled. It serves as an excellent choice for light cleaning, surface rust removal, corrosion treatment, or de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be applied for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used; a larger nozzle size will require more CFM of air.
