This medium, 25 lbs abrasive kit includes 60 grit material with a particle size of 0.016" and a hardness rating of 7.5-8.5 on the Mohs scale. It is a fast-cutting and wear-resistant abrasive that produces a semi-smooth finish on steel and other hard metals. The abrasive is an excellent choice for applications such as stripping paint or removing rust from hard metal surfaces. It is typically used in a blast cabinet or in situations where the abrasive can be recycled. For optimal performance, it is important to use a blaster nozzle that is three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive; this larger nozzle size requires more CFM of air for effective operation.
