This kit includes 10 lbs of medium-grade abrasive with a 20 grit size, measuring 0.053 inches, and achieving a hardness of 3.0-4.0 on the Mohs scale. It is specifically designed for cleaning and surface preparation of soft metals, glass, chrome, fiberglass, or hardwood surfaces where no pitting is desired. The abrasive is typically utilized in a blast cabinet or situations where the material is being recycled and can also effectively remove graffiti from most solid surfaces. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used; the larger the nozzle, the more cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air is required for optimal performance.
