This kit includes 50 lbs of medium abrasive material with a grit size of 20/60 and a particle size of 0.033 inches, rated 5.0-6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. It is ideal for applications where a smoother, brighter, or matte finish is desired, and is typically employed in a blast cabinet or settings where the abrasive can be recycled. The abrasive is an excellent choice for light cleaning tasks, surface rust removal, corrosion treatment, and de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be utilized for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used; larger nozzle sizes will require more CFM of air for optimal performance.
