This kit includes 50 lbs of medium abrasive with a grit size of 60/100 and a particle size of 0.015 inches, suitable for achieving smoother, brighter, or matte finishes. With a hardness rating between 5.0 and 6.5 on the Mohs scale, this abrasive is typically utilized in a blast cabinet or in situations where the abrasive is recycled. It is an excellent choice for light cleaning, surface rust removal, corrosion treatment, and de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be effectively employed for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used, as a larger nozzle size will require more CFM of air.
