The kit includes 25 lbs of medium-grade abrasive material with a grit size of 20/60 and a particle size of 0.033 inches, falling within the hardness range of 5.0-6.5 Mohs. This abrasive is ideal for achieving a smoother, brighter, or matte finish and is typically utilized in a blast cabinet or in applications where the abrasive material is being recycled. It is particularly effective for light cleaning, removing surface rust, corrosion, and de-burring of aluminum and other soft metals. Additionally, it can be employed for subtle glass etching projects. It is important to note that the size of the blaster nozzle should be three to four times larger than the grit size of the abrasive being used, with larger nozzle sizes requiring more CFM of air.
