The ADC® ADTEMP™ 427 is a 6 second conductive thermometer available in a single pack, designed for pediatric and institutional use with ultra-fast response and cost-effective characteristics. This thermometer utilizes non-invasive temporal temperature measurement through patented conductive technology, providing clinically accurate readings in approximately 6 seconds and minimizing the risk of cross-contamination by eliminating the need for probe covers. It is suitable for use in hospitals, clinics, or physician offices and features an auto-off function to conserve battery life, an audible tone indicating measurement completion, and last reading memory. The device supports dual scale measurements in both Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) and is equipped with a large display. It operates on 2 x AAA batteries, which are included, and offers a minimum of 1000 full duty cycles over a 24-month period. The temperature range is from 95°F to 107.6°F (35°C to 42°C), with an accuracy of +/- .2°F (±0.1°C). The compact design measures 4.7" x 1.17" x 1" (12.0 cm x 3.0 cm x 2.4 cm) and weighs 1.3 oz (37g), including batteries. Additionally, it meets the accuracy requirements for intermittent thermometers as per ASTM E1112 standards.
