The ADC® Adtemp™ 421 tympanic IR thermometer is designed for home care, featuring a probe cover free design for convenience and cost-effectiveness. This thermometer measures core temperature instantly from the ear with accuracy, covering a range of 89.6°F - 108°F (0.4°F) or 32°C - 42.2°C (0.2°C) based on the selected scale. It showcases a large 6mm illuminated display that is easy to read, and its compact ergonomic design (5" long, 1.9 oz.) ensures a comfortable fit in both the operator's hand and the patient's ear. The device includes an audible fever alarm at 99.5°F (37.5°C) and has a memory function that can store 12 readings. The kit comes complete with a lithium battery, a storage/travel case, and operating instructions. The Adtemp™ 421 complies with ASTM E1965-98 standards for accuracy.
