The MasterLock® No. S856 retractable cable lockout device is designed for valve and general lockouts, featuring a durable, flexible steel core cable with a red plastic coating. This device includes a built-in cable management system that allows for increased tension on the cable even after safety padlocks are applied. Constructed with a contoured thermoplastic cable housing, it can withstand harsh environments and allows for the stacking and transportation of multiple devices. The kit comes with high-visibility, write-on safety labels available in English, Spanish, and French. The 9' multi-stranded steel cable is insulated with a clear, UV resistant, PVC-free plastic coating. This cable device includes a reel-style cable management feature for enhanced portability and offers lock holes for up to 4 padlocks. The user can feed the cable end through the points to be locked out and back to the lockout body, using the reel mechanism to cinch it tight and remove any slack, while a push button allows for easy cable release.
