Chem-Crest 165 is a phosphate-free deoxidizer and liquid cleaner specifically engineered to eliminate light oils, discoloration, tarnishes, scales, and oxides, with solutions maintaining a near neutral pH. This versatile detergent is suitable for cleaning soft metals post-manufacture and is effective in routine cleaning operations. Chem-Crest 165 demonstrates substrate compatibility with brass, bronze, copper, stainless steel, zinc, and aluminum, while remaining safe for use on glass, ceramics, and plastics. It is crucial to protect ferrous surfaces immediately after treatment with an appropriate rust inhibitor. Recommended dilution rates are 5-10% by volume for general use and 10-15% by volume for heavy descaling, with optimal operating temperatures ranging from 130°F to 160°F and recommended working conditions set between 150°F and 180°F. Rinsing water should be between 100°F and 150°F. Typical contaminants effectively removed by Chem-Crest 165 include light oils, light scales, oxides, and various general contaminants from surface parts. The product is available in cases containing (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, as well as in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon containers.
