Chem-Crest 165 is a phosphate-free deoxidizer and liquid cleaner engineered to eliminate light oils, discoloration, tarnishes, scales, and oxides, with solutions that are near neutral pH. It is effective for cleaning soft metals post-manufacture and for routine cleaning operations. The product is compatible with various substrates such as brass, bronze, copper, stainless steel, zinc, and aluminum, and is safe for use on glass, ceramics, and plastics; however, ferrous surfaces require immediate protection with an appropriate rust inhibitor after treatment. The recommended dilution for Chem-Crest 165 is 5-10% by volume, increasing to 10-15% for heavy descaling, with operating temperatures between 150°F-180°F and normal operating conditions ranging from 130°F to 160°F. Rinsing should be performed with water at temperatures of 100°F-150°F. This cleaner effectively removes light oils, scales, oxides, and general contaminants from part surfaces. Chem-Crest 165 is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and 55-gallon containers.
