Chem-Crest 75A is a phosphoric acid-based cleaner specifically designed for the removal of oils, greases, lubricants, and oxides, making it suitable for brightening soft metals while effectively eliminating contaminants such as light oxides from stainless steel parts. This product, part of the Crest Aqueous Displacement System, generates hydrophilic surfaces upon rinsing with water and leaves no residue when properly rinsed, particularly with deionized water following an ultrasonic rinse. Typically, Chem-Crest 75A is diluted to 4 to 10% by volume and is effective within an operating temperature range of 50°C to 65°C. It demonstrates compatibility with 300 series stainless steel, titanium, and various plastics, although it is not recommended for use on precious metals and should be tested for aluminum, copper-containing materials, and high carbon steels. Availability includes cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon containers, and bulk containers.
