Chem-Crest 14 is a multipurpose heavy-duty phosphate-free liquid cleaner, ideal for removing a wide range of contaminants found in biomedical and laboratory instruments and glassware. This detergent concentrate is freely water-soluble and effectively removes oils, greases, blood, tissues, ointments, lubricants, buffing and lapping compounds, fingerprints, and airborne contaminants. An enzymatic version, Chem-Crest 14EZ, is also available for routine cleaning of biologically soiled instruments. The product is typically used at a concentration of 3 - 10% by volume in ultrasonic applications, with normal operating temperatures ranging from 120 to 170°F and a recommended rinsing water temperature of 120 to 150°F, depending on the material makeup of the substrate and the contaminants present. Chem-Crest 14 is compatible with various metals including carbon and stainless steels, aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, and zinc, as well as glass, plastics, hard rubber articles, and ceramics, when used as directed. It is available in cases of four 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and 55-gallon containers.
