Chem-Crest 14 is a multipurpose heavy-duty phosphate-free liquid cleaner designed for the removal of various contaminants, making it ideal for biomedical and laboratory instruments as well as glassware. This detergent concentrate is freely water-soluble and effective against oils, greases, blood, tissues, ointments, lubricants, buffing and lapping compounds, fingerprints, and airborne contaminants. For routine cleaning of biologically soiled instruments, an enzymatic version, Chem-Crest 14EZ, is available. Chem-Crest 14 is typically used at a concentration of 3 - 10% by volume in ultrasonic applications, with normal operating temperatures ranging from 120 to 170°F. The recommended rinsing water temperature is between 120 and 150°F, depending on the substrate material and contaminants. It is compatible with various metals, including carbon and stainless steels, aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, and zinc, as well as glass, plastics, hard rubber articles, and ceramics when used as directed. Chem-Crest 14 is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and 55-gallon containers.
