Chem-Crest 275 is a multipurpose, heavy-duty, phosphate and silicate-free caustic liquid detergent, designed for effective removal of various contaminants such as oils, greases, and particulates. It is safe for use on ferrous metals, nickel, chromium alloys, titanium, plastics, glass, ceramics, and silicon wafers when used as directed, but should not be applied to aluminum, magnesium, or zinc substrates. The typical dilution for light soils is 3-5% by volume, while 5-10% is recommended for heavy soils; a 20-25% solution can be employed for de-rusting and de-scaling of ferrous metals. The recommended rinsing water temperature ranges from 120 to 150°F. Chem-Crest 275 effectively removes a variety of contaminants, including machining oils, greases, metalworking fluids, drawing and stamping oils, buffing, lapping and polishing compounds, solder fluxes, welding fluxes, photoresists, airborne contaminants, and baked-on carbonaceous soils. It is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon containers, and custom bulk sizes.
