Chem-Crest 77-C is a rust inhibitor concentrate designed for use as a rinse injection into an overflowing ultrasonic rinse tank, although it may also be utilized as a standard final dip in certain applications. This product provides long-term oxidation protection when applied as directed on mild and tool-grade steels, as well as high-carbon stainless steels. The substrate compatibility includes various metals such as aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, zinc, and steels when used according to instructions. It is typically used at a concentration of 1-2% by volume in ultrasonic rinsing applications, injected into the rinse stages, with normal operating temperatures ranging from 100 to 150°F, dependent on the material makeup of the substrate. Chem-Crest 77-C is effective in preventing oxidation due to wash chemicals during the cleaning process, exposure to water, hot-air drying, and during storage prior to further processing or final product delivery. The product is available in cases of four 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon containers, and specialty sizes upon request.
