Tripp Lite's SMART1500LCD line-interactive digital UPS system provides voltage regulation, surge suppression, and reliable battery support for personal computers, network workstations, home entertainment systems, and media centers. The internal UPS circuits are designed to support entry-level PCs or individual VCR/DVR components during power failures, effectively preventing data loss, viewing interruptions, lost recordings, and loss of component programming. The Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) circuits regulate brownouts and overvoltages from 75V to 147V back to usable levels without utilizing battery power. The UPS system supports various installation options, including upright tower, flat shelf mount, or 2U rack mount, all housed in an elegant all-black cabinet design. It includes 8 battery-supported outlets and features built-in USB and DB9 serial ports for optional unattended system shutdown to prevent data loss during extended power outages, with cabling provided. PowerAlert software is available for free download from Tripp Lite. The HID-compliant USB interface allows integration with the built-in power management and auto shutdown features of both Windows and Mac OS X. Additionally, the unit is equipped with built-in single-line RJ-45 jacks that protect equipment with TEL/DSL or network Ethernet connections, along with a built-in audible alarm and a large LCD front panel display that shows line power status, battery power status, and more. The device dimensions are 12.5 x 10.5 x 4.5 inches, and it complies with various certifications to ensure safety and reliability.
