The Edison Robot is designed to foster an inventive spirit in students aged 5 and up, making electronics, engineering, robotics, and programming accessible through its robust, LEGO® compatible educational framework. Each kit includes a programmable Edison robot, featuring a variety of sensors and the ability to be programmed using EdWare for graphical programming or EdPy for text-based Python programming, both available across multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome. The robot interacts with its environment using infra-red (IR) transmitters and receivers, can track lines, read barcodes, and produce sounds and music, supplemented by sound detection capabilities. It is equipped with two motors with variable speeds, left and right red LED lights, and three control buttons for versatile interaction. Multiple Edison robots can communicate via IR, and they can also be controlled using TV and DVD remote controls. Powering the robot requires a set of AAA batteries.
