The Abell-Howe® foundationless base mounted light duty jib crane (model 4L0009) has a capacity of 500 lb. and is designed for light duty industrial applications, requiring a minimum concrete depth of only 6 inches. The crane is part of the J-904L series and must utilize epoxy anchor bolts, specifically the Hilti RE-500 adhesive anchoring system with a 4 1/2-inch embedment. It features 360-degree rotation mounted on a tapered roller bearing, accommodating full capacity vertical and radial thrust loading. To ensure safe operation, the concrete floor must be at least 6 inches thick and reinforced with wire mesh, with a minimum soil pressure of 2,500 psf and a minimum concrete compressive strength of 3,000 psi. Additionally, the jib crane must be positioned on a square foot area that is free of cracks, seams, control joints, and walls.
