The shock absorbing tool lanyard features a swiveling, locking carabiner on one end and a loop on the other end, designed and tested to prevent falling objects and reduce the force experienced by the anchor point during a drop by absorbing energy transmitted through the lanyard. The lanyard includes shock absorbing properties that significantly decrease the dynamic force on the body or other anchor points in the event of a drop. Constructed from durable 1680 denier polyester elastic blended webbing, it extends from 38" to 70" (96cm - 178cm) and incorporates a low profile lightweight design that minimizes snag hazards and added weight. The anodized aluminum alloy swiveling carabiner features a double action locking gate and an inherent captive eye, while its ergonomic design allows for easy gripping and handling even while wearing gloves. The treaded loop end securely grips the tool when attached, and high strength 3-ply nylon stitching ensures robust connections. Its single length construction eliminates weak points commonly found in multi-component lanyards, and it is third-party certified for a maximum capacity of 25lbs (11.3kg) with a 2:1 safety factor.
