The DoAll 400S general purpose band saw, part of the Structall® family of horizontal metal cutting scissor saws, is designed for the small to medium fabricator or machine shop, offering extremely accurate straight or miter cuts in smaller quantities. This manual machine features a swiveling head that allows for a 45-degree angle cut, with a capacity of 9" x 16" (229mm x 406mm) for rectangles and 10-3/4" (273mm) for rounds at a 90-degree angle. It also supports capacities of 9" x 10-3/4" (229mm x 273mm) for rectangles and 10-3/4" (273mm) for rounds at a 45-degree angle. Standard equipment includes a recirculating coolant system, spring-loaded saw guides with solid carbide inserts, rapid saw head approach control, band door interlocks, fine adjustment head feed control, a complimentary coolant package, a powered band brush, replaceable steel wear plates on the bed, a discharge tray, a shovel rake, an instruction plate with sawing recommendations, a saw blade guard, one DoAll bi-metal saw blade, and instruction and parts manuals on CD or USB data stick. The recommended band type is 1" x 0.035" (25mm x 0.89mm) with a maximum band length of 158" (4,013mm). The band speed is variable from 105 to 275 feet per minute (32 to 82 meters per minute), while the band tension is spring-loaded by hand wheel. Features include an infinitely variable hydraulic feed control, a counter-balanced head, a manual vise, and cast iron wheels with a diameter of 14.5" (368mm). The material pass line height is 29-1/8" (740mm), with a table capacity of 1800 lbs (816 kg), requiring floor space of 87 x 42 x 55" (2210 x 1067 x 1397mm), and the machine weighs 1200 lbs (544 kg).
