The Multiscanner® I520 Onestep® multifunction stud finder is designed to quickly and easily locate the edges and center of wood and metal studs and joists behind walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as metal and live AC electrical wiring. This device features a 4-mode switch for easy function changes, an ultra-bright LCD screen for clear visibility, a SpotLite® pointing system, and an audio tone to indicate the target's location. The signal strength indicator allows users to distinguish between shallow and deep targets. Key specifications include a stud scan mode that locates edges and centers of wood or metal studs up to 3/4 in. (19 mm) deep, DeepScan® mode that doubles the scanning depth to 1 1/2 in. (38 mm), and a metal mode that detects ferrous metal up to 3 in. (76 mm) deep. The AC scan function locates live, unshielded electrical wiring up to 2 in. deep, while WireWarning® detection indicates the presence of live wiring up to 2 in. (51 mm) deep in both stud and metal scanning modes. Additionally, ACT™ (Auto Correcting Technology) automatically corrects common user errors, such as when scanning begins over a stud.
