Washguard brake motors are 3-phase systems with a power rating of 1.5HP and operate at 1740 RPM within a totally-enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure. Featuring a 145 frame and C face, these motors are compatible with 208-230/460V, 3PH, and 60Hz power supply, with nameplate amps ranging from 4.6 to 5/2.5. They are designed for continuous duty with a 1.15 service factor and lack thermal protection, displaying an efficiency of 78.5 under standard conditions and an ambient temperature rating of 40 C. These motors allow for reverse rotation and have a shaft diameter of 7/8 inches. The durable Rust-Oleum® white epoxy coating, along with stainless steel components—including the shaft, conduit box cover, nameplate, and fan guard—enhances their longevity. Additional features include special gaskets, slingers, and seals, four endshell drains, moisture-resistant interior components, and they meet IP55 enclosure protection standards. Suitable for use on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), these motors provide a 10:1 ratio for constant or variable torque at a service factor of 1.0.
