The Washguard SST all-stainless washdown motors are designed for demanding applications, featuring a 3-phase motor with specifications of .5/.33HP, 1740/1440 RPM, and a totally-enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure in a 56 frame. It operates on 208-230/460V, 3PH, 60/50Hz, with nameplate amps at 1.5-1.6/.8 & 1.6/.8, built for continuous duty with a 1.15 service factor and no thermal protection, suitable for ambient temperatures up to 40 C. The motor’s shaft length is 1-7/8 inches with a diameter of 5/8 inches, and it allows for reverse rotation. Constructed entirely from 300 series stainless steel, the motor includes moisture-resistant sealant between the frame and endbells, and the full-fact nameplate is laser-etched on the motor frame. This design is specifically built to withstand harsh washdown environments commonly found in food processing, chemical processing, and beverage industries, with no paint or coatings used on the exterior. The motor features four locations for T-drains on each endshield, meets IP55 enclosure protection, and is suitable for use on variable frequency drives (VFDs) with a 10:1 ratio for constant or variable torque at a 1.0 service factor.
