This check seat is designed to fit the 2 1/2 - 3" Watts 909 series reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventers and is compatible with both the first and second check assembly. To replace the old seat, simply loosen it with a 1/4 turn and pull straight up. Installation of the new seat involves pushing it straight down and tightening it by 1/4 turn. It is important to lubricate the O-ring prior to installation, and no special tools are needed for the servicing process.
