The kit includes BSC Preferred's™ MERV 8 pleated air filters, designed to virtually eliminate shipping damage with 100% synthetic media that has memory. Featuring a no metal design, the filters contribute to reduced landfill waste and are fully incinerable, with MERV 8 efficiency eligible for LEED points. They have a low pressure drop and are fitted with a 100% recycled paperboard frame. The filters are constructed from either clay coated paperboard (1" depth) or high wet strength beverage board (2" depth), enhancing moisture resistance. These air filters are ideal for applications such as prefilter for high efficiency filters, office and retail environments, manufacturing and distribution centers, government and educational facilities, doctor offices, assisted living facilities, hospitals, hotels, and airports, as well as single and multi-family housing. Key features include 100% synthetic self-supporting pleated media that reduces weight without sacrificing efficiency, no reliance on electrostatic charge, low resistance to airflow for minimal energy costs, and moisture resistance that prevents microbial growth while effectively removing airborne irritants and protecting the cooling and ductwork of HVAC systems.
