The BSC Preferred's™ MERV 8 pleated air filters are designed to virtually eliminate shipping damage by utilizing 100% synthetic media with memory, featuring a no metal design that contributes to reduced landfill waste and is fully incinerable. These filters have a MERV 8 efficiency rating, making them suitable for LEED points, and offer a low pressure drop alongside a 100% recycled paperboard frame. Constructed from clay coated paper board (1" depth) or high wet strength beverage board (2" depth), they provide increased moisture resistance. These filters are ideal for various applications, including as prefilters for high efficiency filters, in office and retail spaces, manufacturing and distribution facilities, government and educational institutions, medical offices, assisted living facilities, hospitals, hotels, airports, and single and multi-family housing. Key features include 100% synthetic self-supporting pleated media that reduces weight without sacrificing efficiency, a design that does not rely on electrostatic charge, low resistance to airflow which results in minimal energy costs, resistance to moisture that prevents microbial growth, and effective removal of airborne irritants while protecting the cooling and ductwork of HVAC systems.
