It features 100% synthetic media treated with an additional antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration while maintaining low resistance to improve airflow and reduce energy costs. The filter provides initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles and an initial efficiency more than twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters, with a low initial pressure drop. The moisture-resistant synthetic media contributes to durability and performance, making this filter suitable for projects pursuing USGBC-LEED certification.
