The JTM-1 and 2 models feature a three-stage power down feed with automatic stop, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and the rugged stability of Meehanite castings, ensuring optimal performance. The milling head is precision bored and honed, complemented by a large diameter quill that is chromed for durability. An internally cooled spindle head prevents seizing, while satin chrome finished dials facilitate ease of use. The heavy-duty splined motor drive, one-piece quill pinion and shaft, and heavy-duty spindle brake contribute to robust operation. The machine comes equipped with precision hardened and ground ways, adjustable gibs throughout, and a one-shot lubrication system to maintain efficiency. An internal coolant tank is built into the base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included), and a tolerance test sheet is included for quality assurance.
