The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings from doctor offices and assisted living to hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media with a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design causes heavier, restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats while leaving the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter delivers low initial pressure drop and over twice the initial efficiency of traditional cotton poly filters, with an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles. The moisture-resistant, 100% synthetic media helps maintain performance and contributes to earning points in USGBC-LEED certification projects.
