The pleated air filter is designed for use in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings ranging from doctor offices and assisted living facilities to hospitals. It features a 100% synthetic media that provides a MERV 11 rating and includes an antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration and maintaining low resistance to improve airflow, which can reduce energy costs significantly. This filter demonstrates an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, more than twice the efficiency of traditional cotton poly, and offers moisture resistance. It has a low initial pressure drop and can assist in earning points for USGBC-LEED certification projects.
