The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media with an antimicrobial agent applied to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier particles to accumulate at the bottom or pleat tips while keeping the sides open longer, enhancing filtration effectiveness. The filter offers low resistance to airflow, which can reduce energy costs, and has an initial pressure drop that is low with initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton poly filters. It is moisture resistant, has an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, and can contribute to earning points for USGBC-LEED certification projects.
