The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units for commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings from doctor offices and assisted living facilities to hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the 100% synthetic media to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The filter's pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can significantly reduce energy costs. It offers low initial pressure drop and initial efficiency more than twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters, with moisture-resistant synthetic media and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles. This filter can also contribute to USGBC-LEED certification points.
