The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the media to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media with a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance that improves airflow and can reduce energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop, moisture-resistant 100% synthetic media, and an initial efficiency over 74% on 1-3 micron particles, which is more than twice the efficiency of traditional cotton-poly filters. This filter can also help achieve points for USGBC-LEED certification projects.
