The pleated air filter is designed for HVAC units in commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare environments including doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. It features media treated with an antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and utilizes 100% synthetic media achieving a MERV 11 rating, with an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, resulting in low resistance which improves airflow and reduces energy costs. This filter offers low initial pressure drop and its initial efficiency is over twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters. The moisture-resistant synthetic media contributes to its durability and performance and can assist in earning USGBC-LEED certification points.
