The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units for commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, suitable for applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government, education, and healthcare facilities including doctor offices, assisted living, and hospitals. It features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the 100% synthetic media to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design traps heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer to maintain effective filtration. This low-resistance filter improves air flow, potentially reducing energy costs, and can contribute to USGBC-LEED certification points. Key technical attributes include low initial pressure drop, moisture-resistant synthetic media, and an initial efficiency exceeding 74% on 1-3 micron particles, with initial efficiency more than twice that of traditional cotton poly filters.
