The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, including applications such as office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, and healthcare settings from doctor offices and assisted living facilities to hospitals. It features a 100% synthetic media with an additional antimicrobial agent applied to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design causes heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, leaving the sides open longer for efficient filtration and low resistance that improves airflow and reduces energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop and provides initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, which is over twice that of traditional cotton poly filters. The moisture-resistant design supports durability and effectiveness and makes this filter suitable for improving indoor air quality and contributing toward points for USGBC-LEED certification projects.
