The pleated air filter is designed for removing airborne irritants in HVAC units across commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, with ideal applications including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, as well as healthcare settings from doctor offices and assisted living facilities to hospitals. It features 100% synthetic media treated with an additional antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and achieves a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design causes heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats, keeping the sides open longer for effective filtration, which results in low resistance and improved airflow, potentially reducing energy costs. The filter has a low initial pressure drop and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles, over twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters. The moisture-resistant synthetic media contributes to its durability and effectiveness, making it suitable for meeting USGBC-LEED certification requirements.
