The pleated design allows for the accumulation of heavier particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, which keeps the sides open longer for enhanced filtration. Its low resistance improves airflow, contributing to reduced energy costs. Additionally, it serves as a valuable component in earning points for USGBC-LEED certification projects. The filter has a low initial pressure drop and offers an initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton poly, with a moisture-resistant construction and an initial efficiency greater than 74% for particles sized 1-3 microns.
