The pleated air filter is designed to remove airborne irritants in HVAC units for commercial, light commercial, and industrial buildings, with ideal applications including office and retail spaces, industrial filtration, single and multi-family housing, government and education facilities, as well as healthcare settings such as doctor offices, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. The filter features an additional antimicrobial agent applied to the 100% synthetic media to prevent mold growth, achieving a MERV 11 rating. The pleated design allows heavier, more restrictive particles to accumulate at the bottom or tips of the pleats while keeping the sides open longer for sustained filtration effectiveness. It offers low resistance for improved airflow, potentially reducing energy costs, and contributes to USGBC-LEED certification point achievements. The filter has a low initial pressure drop, initial efficiency over twice that of traditional cotton-poly filters, moisture-resistant synthetic media, and an initial efficiency greater than 74% on 1-3 micron particles.
